ALICE stands for Alert-Lockdown-Inform-Counter-Evacuateorrun-hide-fight, a federal Homeland Security Department program originally created for use in workplace settings. The training will be presented by Sgt. DJ Schoeff of the Carmel Police Department. DJ is the Vice President of the National Association of School Resource Officers and has given this training over 100 times. His 45 minute presentation will provide functional tools to use in the event of an active threat near you. Personal awareness and empowerment is key to one’s safety. Participants will learn options-based responses to active threat, empowering them to respond in any environment. There will be some time for questions and answers.
